Notice Specific to Residents of the EU & UK

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about what kind of personal data we collect, and how we collect, use and store your personal data. Please see below for additional information relevant to the General Data Protection Act and its United Kingdom sister legislation, the Data Protection Act of 2018 (hereinafter “GDPR”).

The GDPR regulates the processing of personal data of individuals in the European Union and the United Kingdom. HealthPoint is committed to full GDPR compliance.

Our basis for processing your personal information

Personal information is processed by HealthPoint based on your consent, when you provide your information to us in order to receive our products and/or services.

We may process information in accordance with our (and our customers’) legitimate interests. We are happy to share our legitimate interest assessment (LIA) with you should you wish to see it, if it is applicable.

Your rights under the GDPR

You have many rights relating to your personal information, and additional information on these rights can be requested directly from the data protection regulator in your country. Your rights include:

  • The right to object to processing
You have the right to object to certain types of processing, including processing for direct marketing.
  • The right to be informed
You have the right to be provided with clear, transparent, and easily understandable information about how we use your information and your rights (such as the information provided in this policy).
  • The right of access
You have the right to request access to your information and certain other information relevant to how your information is obtained and used. There may be a small fee associated with this request.
  • The right to rectification
You are entitled to have your information corrected or amended if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”)
This right allows you to request that your information be permanently deleted or removed if you feel that you no longer want us to keep and use it. There can be exceptions to this depending upon the situation.
  • The right to restrict processing
You have the right to block or suppress the further use of your information. When processing is restricted, we can still store your information but may not use it further. We keep lists of individuals who have requested that further use of their information be blocked to ensure the restriction is respected in the future.
  • The right to data portability
You have the right to obtain and reuse your personal information for your own purposes across different services. For example, if you decide to switch to a new provider, this enables you to move, copy, or transfer your information easily and securely between our information technology systems and theirs, without affecting its usability.
  • The right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint about the way we handle or process your personal information with your national data protection regulator.
  • The right to withdraw consent
If you have given your consent to anything we do with your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (although this does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal). This includes your right to withdraw consent for us to use your personal information for marketing purposes.

Additional Information

You are not statutorily required to provide your personal data.

You may be required to provide your personal information, such as your name, contact information and billing information, in order to provide you with our products and/or services.

Should you choose not to provide your personal details to us as a customer, we would be unable to provide you with our products and/or services.

We do not run any auto-decision making or profiling on you. We may transfer your personal information outside of your country when it is required that we do so. The data is transferred safely and securely using adequate safeguards to our office in the United States. Your data may also, when required, be transferred to our offices in the United Kingdom, Romania and Ukraine using the same secure and adequate safeguards.
